Company Matching

Double your impact. Many employers match charitable donations — here's everything you need.

What is company matching?

Many employers will match donations you make to eligible nonprofits, effectively doubling or even tripling your impact at no extra cost to you. An estimated $4–7 billion in matching funds goes unclaimed every year because employees don't submit the paperwork.

Example: if you donate $100 and your employer matches 1:1

The charity receives $200. Your cost: $100. Their gain: $200.

How to claim your match

1

Make your donation through GiveFolio.

2

Download your donation receipt (sent to your email after your donation completes).

3

Check your employer's matching program — search "[your company] charity matching" or ask HR.

4

Submit your receipt through your employer's matching portal (commonly Benevity, YourCause, or Double the Donation).

5

Your employer sends the matched amount directly to the charity.

Information your employer will need

When submitting a match request, you'll typically need:

  • Charity name and EIN (tax ID number)
  • Donation amount and date
  • Your donation receipt or confirmation email

Your GiveFolio donation receipt includes all of this information for each charity in your fund.
